The Kim Rhead Leadership Scholarship was established in 1999. Kim Rhead is a former state legislator from the 83rd District. He and his wife, Margaret, decided to start a scholarship fund to give something back to the community where they lived and raised their family for so many years. This money goes to help students active in their school, church and community, but who may fall through the college funding cracks. Awards are to go to gifted students, with special consideration to students that may not qualify for other assistance.
This scholarship is administered through the Sanilac County Community Foundation. For more information on scholarship opportunities through the Sanilac County Community Foundation, contact Melissa Anderson, Executive Director, at the Foundation office at 810-648-3634.
