The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Ila Kay MacLean is the 2019 recipient of the Joan Monte Memorial Scholarship.

Ila Kay MacLean, graduate of Croswell – Lexington High School.  During high school, she participated in Drama, S.A.D.D. (Students Against Destructive Decisions), and Tennis. This fall she plans to attend St. Clair County Community College.  Ila Kay is the daughter of Alvin and Debbie MacLean of Lake Port.

The Joan Monte Memorial Scholarship is intended for a graduating Croswell-Lexington Senior who took remedial reading or remedial English in their junior or senior year.  Student must be accepted to a post-secondary institution and plan to attend at least half-time.
