The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce this year’s 2018 Croswell-Lexington High School graduate, Kristin Hanson as the recipient of the Lexington Arts Council Scholarship.

Kristin graduated as a senior scholar from Croswell-Lexington High School, dedicating her time to National Honor Society, Yearbook, and the Dance Company Conservatory.  She danced with the Nutcracker Ballet Theatre as the roles of Friend, Snow, Flower, Mirliton, Dew Drop, and Snow Queen.  She danced competitively throughout high school as well, earning the title of second runner up at Hall of Fame Nationals in 2017 with her solo “Experience”.  Kristin will attend the University of Michigan to major in dance with minors in performing arts management and movement science.  Eric and Cindy Hanson are her parents.

This scholarship was established through the generosity of the Lexington Arts Council.  The mission of the Lexington Arts Council is to satisfy the increasing cultural tastes of the Thumb Blue Water community; producing musical, visual & other fine arts programs. This scholarship was established to help a Croswell-Lexington student pursue the arts. The student must be studying any branch of the performing or visual arts to qualify for this scholarship.
