The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that the recipient of the Hewitt-Riley Scholarship is Grace Barrett.

Grace plans to attend St. Clair County Community College this fall for two years and then transfer to a University.  She plans to be an art therapist or an art teacher.

This scholarship was established in honor of Thomas Hewitt, a Croswell-Lexington High School Graduate, by his mother Mary Riley. The scholarship is made available to a Croswell-Lexington student with a C+ – B average who is planning to attend college. Special consideration will be given to those entering the field of agricultural studies.

This scholarship is administered through the Sanilac County Community Foundation (SCCF).  For more information on scholarship opportunities through the Sanilac County Community Foundation, contact Melissa Anderson, Executive Director, at the Foundation office at 810-648-3634.
