The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Layney Frizzle as the 2026 recipient of the Daniel James Brabant Scholarship.
Layney Frizzle is the daughter of Troy and Jaymi Frizzle. During high school, she participated in track, cross country, softball, and cheerleading. She served as the National Honor Society President, Student Council Vice President, and participated in FFA and 4-H. Layney is attending St. Clair County Community College pursuing a degree in radiologic technology.
The Daniel James Brabant scholarship was established to commemorate the life of Daniel James Brabant. Dan was a graduate from Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School. He graduated with Honors from Michigan State University with a degree in Business and Economics and was an avid bow hunter, weightlifter, and Michigan State Fan.
