The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Lucas Trombley as the 2026 recipient of the Dale Ferguson Memorial Scholarship.
Lucas Trombley, son of Chelse and Norwood Trombley, graduated from Peck High School. During high school, he participated in football, basketball, and baseball for all four years and acted in the drama program during his senior year. He was Class President and the President of the National Honor Society. Lucas is attending Central Michigan University studying political science with plans to apply to law school.
The Dale Ferguson Memorial Scholarship was created by his family, in memory of Dale, who was a lifelong area resident, a member of the Brown City Masonic Lodge #409, and active in the Peck Schools Boosters Club. He served as Maintenance and Custodian Supervisor at Peck Community Schools until his retirement in 2009. It is awarded to a graduating senior from Peck High School who maintains a minimum GPA of 2.5.
