An Evening of Glamour, Generosity & Local Impact — Thursday, October 2, 2025

Lexington, Michigan – The Sanilac Women Who Care Committee, a program of the Sanilac County Community Foundation (SCCF), is rolling out the red carpet for its 13th annual collective giving event on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Lexington Village Theatre. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., with the spotlight shining on presentations beginning at 7:00 p.m.

What’s In Store for Guests

  • Tickets & Experience: For just $100, attendees become part of a high-energy giving circle and enjoy a night filled with beverage service, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, live music, professional photography, and unforgettable networking.
  • Skip the Line: Register early at www.SanilacWomenWhoCare.org for a breezy check-in experience. Pay your way — online, by check, or at the door — and be ready to step into a night of celebration.
  • The Heart of the Evening: Three lucky guests will be drawn to pitch a cause they love or nominate a nonprofit on the spot. Nonprofits can be proposed right then and there, keeping the energy spontaneous and electric. From 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., nonprofits will be on hand to mingle and share their stories. After the pitches, the power is in the room: every attendee votes to decide where the grant dollars go.
  • Community Spirit: Meet leaders, changemakers, and neighbors — all gathered with one shared passion: philanthropy in Sanilac County.
  • Impact with Sparkle: Since launching in 2013, Sanilac Women Who Care has infused over $100,000 into local nonprofits. This year, it could be your vote that makes the difference.
  • Entertainment: The stage comes alive with GlenBrooke Music, a local woman musician, enchanting the crowd with original tunes crafted just for the evening.
  • Keynote Moment: Kendra Jickling, Marlette’s own champion for rural prosperity, will deliver an inspiring keynote. Beyond her role as Marlette Tri-County Bank Branch Manager and Loan Officer, Kendra is a dedicated advocate serving on many community boards — including as a Trustee for the Community Foundation.
  • Captured in Style: Every candid and every cheer will be documented by Kristie Baer of KB Photography.
  • Door Prizes & Giveaways: Guests will also have the chance to win beautiful floral arrangements and even a short-term MiCasa Stays rental, adding extra excitement to the evening.

About the Sanilac Women Who Care Committee

Founded in 2013, Sanilac Women Who Care is more than a giving circle — it’s a movement. Powered by women across the county, this committee thrives on connection, generosity, and the joy of giving together.

Guided by Kelly Gerstenberger, SCCF Trustee and Committee Chair, alongside powerhouse members Jennifer Kursinsky, Jessica Washe, Tammy Williford, Virginia “Ginny” McNabb, and many more over the years, the committee continues to grow its reach and impact.

Together, they’ve granted more than $100,000 to nonprofits including:

  • 2024: S.A.V.E. Council / Eva’s Place; Heritage Thrift Shop / Snover Mall; Aspire Rural Health System Foundation
  • 2023: Moore Public Library
  • 2022: Dave Hall First Responders Fund
  • And the list of inspiring grant recipients continues year after year, showcasing the lasting tradition of impact made possible through Sanilac Women Who Care.
