The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Abigail M. Norton, graduate of Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School is one of the 2021 recipients of the Eleanor M. Bowman Scholarship.

Abigail is the daughter of Amy and Damon Norton. During high school, she participated in volleyball, band as drum major, theater, English academics as captain, National Honor Society as president, student council as president, as well as volunteering. Abigail plans to attend Saginaw Valley State University to pursue a degree in Medical Laboratory Science and continue her love for band by joining the cardinal marching band.

 

Eligible applicants for the Eleanor M. Bowman scholarship must be graduating seniors of Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School who are in need of financial assistance to attend college in the field of music or music education.  If there are no graduating students entering the field of music or music education, the scholarship may then be given to a graduating student(s) with need of financial assistance.
