The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Maria Madia, graduate from Brown City High School is the recipient of the Sacred Heart Church Women’s Auxiliary Scholarship for 2020.

Maria is the daughter of Chris and Mary Madia. She grew up in Brown City, attended Brown City Schools her whole life and has been involved in multiple extracurricular activities. Maria played softball, was on the varsity competitive cheer team, she was a Girl Scout in elementary, helping out with community service such as food drives and events outside of school. She is planning to attend Oakland University aspiring a degree in social work and strives to be a severe mental illness counselor.

 

 

The purpose of the Sacred Heart Church Women’s Auxiliary Scholarship fund is to recognize a graduating high school senior(s), from one of the donor churches that are an active member of their community.
