The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Karissa Fay and Lily Connelly, 2020 graduates of Croswell-Lexington High School are two of the Eastern Michigan Bank Scholarship Recipients.

Karissa Fay plans on attending St. Clair County Community College to achieve her Associates Degree and then plans to transfer to Grand Valley State University to obtain further degrees in business administration. Throughout school she very much enjoyed participating in community service activities to better the school and community in any way that she could. Karissa was a part of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and the Making Visions a Reality leadership class. High school held many challenges, but they were full of opportunities that have now prepared her to take on the next journey ahead!

Lily Connelly is the daughter of Matt and Kristen Connelly. She plans to attend St. Clair County Community College this fall and will be competing in cross country, basketball, and track. Lily had a successful academic and athletic career during her time at Cros-Lex High School. She participated in cross country, basketball, and track. Some of her favorite memories are: earning an All State title in the 800m run during her Junior year, completing her senior year Basketball season with 284 points and earning the MVP award in the BWAC, and achieving her goal of participating in the MHSAA State Finals in Cross Country all 4 years of high school. Lily was a member of the National Honor Society, served on the Student Council, and was a member of the Executive Board.  She also participated in 4-H, the Conservation Club, and many other activities.
