The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Maximilian Whittredge is the recipient for the Lexington VFW Scholarship.

Maximilian is a graduate from Croswell-Lexington High School, where he maintained a 3.8 GPA, and was part of the student council along with being a member of National Honor Society. He was the captain of the cross country team his junior and senior year and he was also the captain of the track and field team. In the winters, Maximilian would participate and organize the indoor track club at my school. In running he has not only found success with individual and team achievements, the sport has taught him time management, working toward a goal, and the value of teamwork. Outside of school and sports he is a student leader at his church, the Croswell Wesleyan Church.  As a student leader he mentors the middle school students on Wednesday nights. The experience of being a student leader will be carried on into his next level of education where he plans on majoring in Youth Ministry at Spring Arbor University. Attending Spring Arbor has been his number one choice since he was in seventh grade!

This scholarship is administered through the Sanilac County Community Foundation and a partnership with Croswell – Lexington High School.  For more information on scholarship opportunities through the Sanilac County Community Foundation, contact Melissa Anderson, Executive Director, at the Foundation office at 810-648-3634.

For Good. For Ever.
